Payment
Thank you to those of you who have already paid. If you have not paid yet, and/or not been in touch with us about the need for a scholarship, please complete payment asap - Suggested donation $75-$200  PayPal or Venmo: @anthonyTmaes

What we expect
Arrive by 9:30am so we can settle in, get oriented to the space, and start by 10am. We expect you to stay for the entire day (until 4:30pm). Please let us know if you don't think you can commit to this.

Location
Parking is very limited. Taxi/Lyft/Uber or carpooling is highly recommended (see image below for parking tips if you must drive)
Please email us at [email protected] if you can drive a carpool. If you plan to Lyft/Taxi, but would like a ride from a carpool if one becomes available, let us know where you can meet your driver.
Drive to or get dropped off at Frowning Ridge, which is the intersection of Grizzly Peak Blvd and South Park Drive (the eastern part of Tilden Park in the Berkeley hills).

Walk down South Park Drive (gated/ closed off to cars during February) for 3-5 minutes until you see a big sign for Gillespie Youth Camp on the left side of the street. Turn left down that wide gravel path. Walk down the path for 5-10 minutes until you dead end at our gathering site, complete with bathroom building, water fountains, big grassy meadow, redwood trees, picnic tables. (hazard: resist the urge to go off the gravel path because the poison oak is hard to recognize in the fall, but it's all over the place. The wide gravel path makes it very easy to avoid)

What to bring
Lunch/ Snacks Water Thing to sit on (lawn chair/ blanket/ pillow- whatever you will be the most comfortable with but it should be something easy to carry on a 10- to 15-minute walk!!)  Sun stuff- hat/ sunglasses/ sunscreen Please bring a journal and something to write with. There will be dedicated time during the day where you will have the option to do some journaling. Bring warm layers! Day time temperatures can go from 70s down to 50's.

What to expect
The day will be spent moving through periods of silent practice and relational practice, group time and solo time. Please review the linked EBMC agreements, they will support us in holding the container of the retreat.
